If
there is one thing i would like to see my music offer another human
being it would be hope. I can't tell you the number of times a kind
word, a musical phrase, a hand on my shoulder has encouraged me to
keep going on in this life that is sometimes filled with wounds and
heartbreaks. I would like to return the favor and give another soul
who is discouraged and about to give up a reason to keep getting on.
One of the best ways to do this is to let people know they are not
alone. It is hard to know hope when you feel you are all alone. I've
had the privilege to go on several mission trips to Mexico. I am always
devastated by the poverty but I am always envious of the community
they have with one another. In America, Mother Teresa says, we have
many material possessions but we have another type of poverty and
that is the poverty of the soul. I write to try and fill this poverty,
to tell another beggar where this beggar has found bread. I hope my
music would in some way be an encouragement of hope to you.
